Senior Human Resources Manager
February 3, 2012 – Ervin & Smith is looking for a Senior Human Resources Manager to work with a growing operations team in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Job Summary:
The human resources manager will partner with Ervin & Smith management and individual departments to lead the design, implementation, communication and management of company human resources initiatives.
General Duties:
- Recruiting
- Talent Planning
- Employee training and development
- Management training
- Employee retention
- Employee relations
- Employee benefits administration
- Safety and health
- Diversity initiatives and strategy
- Regulatory compliance
Knowledge and Skills:
- Extensive knowledge of prevailing and emerging HR practices
- Solid understanding of employment law
- Organized, with the ability to multi-task effectively
- Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
- Self-starter who is able to lead within an entrepreneurial environment
- Thrives with change
- Hungry for a culture based on coaching and professional development
- Not willing to settle in any situation
Required Experience:
- Undergraduate degree in human resources, business administration or related field
- 10+ years of progressive experience in human resources
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software
Preferences:
- PHR/SPHR certification
- Experience with marketing or communications firms
