Senior Human Resources Manager

February 3, 2012 – Ervin & Smith is looking for a Senior Human Resources Manager to work with a growing operations team in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Job Summary:

The human resources manager will partner with Ervin & Smith management and individual departments to lead the design, implementation, communication and management of company human resources initiatives.

General Duties:

  • Recruiting
  • Talent Planning
  • Employee training and development
  • Management training
  • Employee retention
  • Employee relations
  • Employee benefits administration
  • Safety and health
  • Diversity initiatives and strategy
  • Regulatory compliance

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Extensive knowledge of prevailing and emerging HR practices
  • Solid understanding of employment law
  • Organized, with the ability to multi-task effectively
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Self-starter who is able to lead within an entrepreneurial environment
  • Thrives with change
  • Hungry for a culture based on coaching and professional development
  • Not willing to settle in any situation

Required Experience:

  • Undergraduate degree in human resources, business administration or related field
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in human resources
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software

Preferences:

  • PHR/SPHR certification
  • Experience with marketing or communications firms
