Ervin & Smith pilots new time-off policy.

Ervin and Smith is excited to announce that the agency will pilot a new time off policy where employees are free to come and go as they want as long as they are meeting their goals. With the new policy, employees are assessed on their performance, not presence.  Employees aren’t limited to a set number of vacation/sick days. They don’t accrue PTO or track their time off. Bottom line – if an employee wants to take time off, they can take time off.

Why a new policy?

As we celebrate our 30th anniversary, we’re committed to continually progressing as an agency and that starts with our employees. The new time-off policy gives our team flexibility but holds them accountable to personal and business goals. Knowing that no two lives are alike, we’re implementing this new policy to give our team greater control over their unique personal and work schedules.

“We’ve been interested in implementing this program for a few years now. We now have the right team in place that is ready to take on this accountability. We’re hoping this will give us an edge in recruiting the top-tier talent we’re after,” said Betsy Perez, vice president, brand strategy.

Has your company implemented a performance based work environment? If so, we’d love to hear from you. Give feedback in the comments!
