This Valentine’s Day, E&S wants to extend a note of appreciation for teachers and educators in our Omaha community. Through daily lessons and leadership, kids in our community have a strong example of what being kind really means. Our community has adopted this language and we created these wallpaper designs to help spread the #BeKind message even further—and they’re free for you to download.
Designer Matthew Bailey jumped to help. He says that the project was a unique way to give back to the Omaha school system. Designer Amanda Walla agreed, adding, “Teachers and administrators are the unsung heroes in getting this message across to students.”
Matthew also felt this project was significant because of the prevalence of online bullying. “This is a topic for youth to be thinking about and creating discourse around. I see this being one small step in becoming a better Omaha, and I’m happy I was a part of it in some way.”
Chief Marketing Officer Katie Kemerling sums up the experience, saying, “The #BeKind message resonated so deeply with me. I fundamentally believe we need kindness, compassion and strong relationships in our lives now more than ever. We need more intentionality in how we interact with each other, how we talk with one another (and ourselves!) and how we connect to others who aren’t like us. To be intentional takes awareness, practice…and daily reminders. So we thought it would be pretty cool to contribute by creating those daily reminders for anyone who is interested.”
