PRSA Nebraska recently hosted the Paper Anvil Awards gala which recognizes PR professionals and agencies for outstanding achievements in the public relations practice across the state.
The Ervin & Smith Public Relations team was honored for their work on four campaigns:
Do Space video
Do Space’s new memberships had leveled off and they wanted to recharge interest and increase awareness for the organization. The goal: create a video to engage Do Space’s audiences and show the value the organization brings to the community.
The video was then leveraged on Do Space’s website, across social media channels, at community events and during potential donor meetings. It became the top performing video for the organization. Additionally, the month the video launched was their single highest traffic month in organizational history.
TD Ameritrade 401(K) Fee Analyzer product launch
Product launches themselves aren’t necessarily newsworthy, so when TD Ameritrade wanted to generate awareness for their new 401(k) fee analyzer tool, Ervin & Smith’s PR team knew just what to do. They launched a fully integrated PR campaign that began with a proprietary survey that asked investors, “Do you know how much you pay for Netflix?” and “Do you how much you pay in 401(k) fees?” Turns out, more Americans knew how much money they spent on streaming services, but not on their retirement fees.
In just two short months the campaign generated more than 40 media stories in top-tier financial media including Forbes, MarketWatch, Lifehacker, CNN, USA Today, Motley Fool, NerdWallet, Yahoo! Finance and more.
TD Ameritrade’s 2017 Annual Report
TD Ameritrade enlisted Ervin & Smith’s expertise to reimagine their 2017 annual report. With a new CEO at the helm, the successful acquisition of Scottrade, a record year of growth and a renewed vision to transform lives and investing for the better, the organization wanted to express who they were as a company and where they were headed in their annual report.
The outcome: a beautifully printed and digital version of the annual report which received record shareholder engagement.
TD Ameritrade’s Millennials and Money Survey
Securing national media coverage in the financial space can be a challenge. TD Ameritrade’s corporate communication’s team partnered with Ervin & Smith to leverage their annual Millennials and Money Survey to help increase awareness as a personal finance thought leader.
The survey received mention in more than 500 national media outlets including Newsweek, CNBC, USA Today and more, garnering more than 1.5 billion impressions and nearly 30,000 social shares, making this TD Ameritrade’s most successful personal finance survey to date.
