Having helped play a critical role in growing the agency’s digital media team since joining the team in 2016, Heather Akerberg has been promoted to senior marketing and media strategist. In her role, Akerberg is responsible for driving marketing and media strategy and planning for paid search, SEO, paid social, and testing and optimization to ensure marketing campaigns are driving qualified traffic. Akerberg is certified in both Google AdWords and Google Analytics as well as holds a Digital Media Buying & Planning certification from the Interactive Advertising Bureau.
Bridgette McGuire joins Ervin & Smith as an account executive. McGuire has more than six years experience in client services, public relations, event production, corporate communications and social media marketing. Most recently, McGuire was with Authentic Brand Group (ABG) in New York City and worked with top brands such as Juicy Couture, Jones New York and Prince Tennis.
Ashley Bails has been promoted to the director of marketing. As director, Bails will be responsible for planning and directing marketing and media efforts to help clients increase brand awareness, website traffic, lead conversions and customer engagement. As part of the agency’s leadership team, Bails will help plan for the future of the agency, onboard new clients and assist in the execution of the agency’s strategic plan.
Bails joined Ervin & Smith in 2014 as a marketing strategist where she was responsible for executing marketing strategies for clients, search engine optimization, lead generation and content marketing programs. Bails also is Google Ads certified and holds Inbound Sales and Inbound Marketing certifications from HubSpot.
Ervin & Smith is excited to welcome Sarah Dring to the client services team as a senior account executive. As a senior account executive, Dring is responsible for leading her clients’ strategy and marketing efforts to ensure their business goals are met. Prior to joining Ervin & Smith, Dring was the senior brand manager at Flagship Restaurant Group where she led the strategy, branding and marketing for Blue Sushi Sake Grill and Plank Seafood Provisions. Dring also led in-house marketing efforts at Baxter Auto Group and was responsible for social media and reputation management as well as content writing and ad traffic management. In 2018, Dring co-founded Nebraska Canine Commons managing the initial marketing and public relations initiatives in the Omaha market and now maintains an active role on their board of directors.
As a digital media buyer, Eric Ruesch joins the agency’s growing marketing and media department. Ruesch brings to the agency more than five years of experience creating impactful digital media strategies for a wide variety of clients in the healthcare, home services, automotive, and small business fields.
