Say hello to our new creative director, John Rost.

John Rost

We have big news for 2023! We are excited to announce the hire of a new creative director, John Rost. John will steward and develop the vision and direction laid out by longtime creative director and current president, Leanne Prewitt. John comes to the agency with more than a decade of experience building brands and strategies for companies and inspiring creative teams to meet ever-expanding business challenges.

Ervin & Smith excels when we work alongside our clients as consultants, using marketing to solve their most complex business problems. And where we have found our biggest impact is when those organizations are at critical inflection points. Leadership changes. Mergers and acquisitions. Organizational restructuring. Explosive growth goals. It’s at these moments—when leaders can see the vision but don’t quite have the plan—that we can partner with them in creating the roadmap to make their vision a reality.

In our search for new creative leadership, John stood out as an extension and expression of the consultative approach we’ve been implementing with our trusted clients.

As creative director, John will work alongside the executive team, strategists, and account managers to connect compelling creative to the overall goals of each client. He will also oversee our entire creative team and production which includes design, copy, development, video and public relations. We are looking forward to introducing him to our client teams and seeing where he can take us in 2023 and beyond.
