We’re seeking a Senior Marketing Strategist who leads with insight and clarity. You have a proven ability to uncover meaningful opportunities, connect data to business objectives and translate research into actionable marketing strategy. You think beyond tactics, proactively shaping integrated plans and helping clients understand how marketing drives measurable growth. You also take ownership of the strategic direction, guiding programs from insight through activation while partnering closely with internal teams to ensure the work is purposeful and performance-focused.
Minimum experience and requirements.
- 7+ years of experience in marketing strategy (agency/marketing firm preferred), including 3-5 years of leading marketing initiatives
- Significant experience in marketing, advertising and communications, including digital marketing, social, public relations, lead gen, demand gen and search engine marketing
- Strong analytical thinker with attention to detail while thinking about the larger story that data can tell
- Unique ability to research, find insights and tell a compelling story that helps others believe in your strategies
- Highly motivated by creating work that works; building marketing strategy plans that are focused on meeting client KPIs within the constraints of timelines and budget
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, quality-focused environment
- Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal and presentation skills
- Quickly and easily adapt to changing requests/needs
- Has excellent organizational skills and the ability to work under the pressure of multiple deadlines
Principal accountabilities and job functions.
Marketing activation plans:
- Build integrated marketing plans that include content, digital, traditional and media strategies
- Work with clients and internal teams to establish short- and long-term strategies and objectives
- Define and implement lead nurturing campaigns
- Collaborate to implement offers, emails, campaigns, landing pages, forms
- Collaborate to develop website content strategies and information architecture
- Assist in the implementation of SEO and link-building improvement opportunities for websites
Client industry expertise:
- Lead industry, competitive and target market research assignments
- Build personas for individual accounts, based on research
Client marketing strategy:
- Foster client relationships across levels of the organization, including senior management
- Lead client and internal calls as needed, as well as project planning and status in conjunction with the client service team
- Create and facilitate workshop activities alongside agency leadership
- Act as an agency SME in the development of creative briefs and assignment sheets
- Support creative team activities with research and insights for ideation and concepting, as well as reviewing creative work to ensure that it is on strategy
Performance analysis and recommendations:
- Test and analyze marketing campaigns, and recommend and oversee adjustments and changes as necessary
- Continuously evaluate the efficacy of digital media buys, making recommendations for improvements as needed
- Provide ideas for client/account growth opportunities
- Create monthly and/or quarterly status and metrics reports
Lead research across disciplines:
- Provide insight on emerging trends and online media for the agency and clients
- Lead keyword research, create keyword strategies and website optimization plans
- Contribute to agency, new business and strategy projects as needed
